Mr. Welch is one of the founding partners of Slate, a leading global real estate investment platform, which is a significant sponsor of all its private and publicly-traded investment vehicles, which are tailored to the unique goals and objectives of its institutional, ultra-high net worth and retail investors. Brady serves as a trustee of the REIT. Prior to co-founding Slate in 2005, he held senior management positions with Fortress Investment Group, responsible for overseeing all direct investments in commercial real estate in the U.S, Canada and Europe.  Mr. Welch began his career in the mid-1990s with Brazos Advisors (now Lone Star) in the acquisition and work-out of distressed commercial real estate loan pools. Mr. Welch received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mount Allison University.
